A real bare boards shot - the floor is body color
and the dash and doors are finished in charcoal black. |

Engine compartment was first shot with red oxide
primer and then semi-gloss black was applied over the top. Note also,
the undersides of the hood and trunk lid could be either body color or
black (as is the case with our car). |

The inner front wheel well shows several different
paint colors, and you have to understand Ford's assembly line process
to appreciate this:
First, the car was painted red oxide primer, second, the car was
painted body color, third, the engine compartment was painted
semi-gloss black. Resulting in three different colors
in the front wheel wells!! |

Right down to the last detail, which is quite
often forgotten - pinch welds are black on light colored cars. |
