First steps in assembly are as follows:
I personally always put the rear axle in first, I
do this for the weight factor, a stripped down car is very light and I
almost pushed one off of jack-stands.
Please note the shocks are not installed yet, as
you really need as much working room as possible to install the
transverse exhaust system. |
The next steps I take are to run the gas and
brake lines. |
After the gas and brake lines, I find it best to
install the firewall insulation pad and then the wiring. Note
save your old firewall plugs - you will thank me for this tip after
having tried to use the aftermarket versions. |
In the engine compartment install the brake
lines, speedometer cable and then the master cylinder. You will
have a difficult time tightening the brake lines to the junction box if
the master cylinder is installed before the brake lines. |
Headliner - speaks for itself, my suggestion is
simple buy the best quality available and let it get nice and warm and
pliable before you install it. Do not drink before or during the
installation process but by all means treat yourself afterwards!! |

I usually work from the back forward, and as you
can see here the rear end is taking shape. After all when it is
said and done this is the view most people will see!!!!!!!! |
